Okay so the first week is over and classes are back rolling once again. In the food and nutrition class we have been busy learning all the tools and techniques students will be needing throughout the semester for our food labs. Today was our brownie measuring demonstration and Thurs/Fri will be the Gr. 10's first food lab-Mmmm! warm muffins, but their safety assignments need to be completed first!
Fashion has been pondering 'why they wear what they do' and learning all about our fabulous new sewing machines. Everyone must have their Sewing Machine assignments completed before they jump on a machine and attempt to stitch a straight line. Up next...a basic seam sample, pin cushions and a NEW--design project. Look out high school challenge team!
