Week 3

HFN2O- the grade 10's started a new assignment today called A Cook's Book. They need to critically review 3 cookbooks from the library or class collection to assess and comment on specific criteria. This assignment can be reviewed on the HFN2O blog page. Everyone in the class was expected to complete one review today and be provided with class time to work on their last 2 during Tuesday's period.
This assignment is a non-negotiable and must be submitted for evaluation.

HFA4M-the grade 12's are focusing on their lab skills at the beginning of the week, reviewing tools, techniques and terms associated with cooking. In the middle of the week we will be learning about the preservation of food-connected to text questions (posted on the HFA4M blog) and food lab. As we finish off the week we will have a Unit 1 quiz and learn about the functions of ingredients in our recipes.

If parents have any questions or concerns or want an update on their child's progress please feel free to contact me at the school. It is never to early!
